Loyalty cards. Not only a great way to secure a freebie (eventually) but also a valuable life lesson. Probably. Something along the lines of working hard to earn what you want, nothing in life really coming for free, demonstrating commitment and seeing things though to the end (and I’m not one of nature’s completer-finishers)… I’m sure all those are in there somewhere, if you look hard enough. Anyway, the point is, having successfully completed the arduous task of ordering and drinking five whole festive coffees @Starbucks I have today procured a #largeskinnygingerbreadlatte for free.

• Life lessons learned (or at least logged for future consideration), tick!
• New loyalty card procured, tick!

Now, better buy another coffee and get my first stamp. Good things certainly do come to those who wait. Five coffees and a free one; five months of chemo and a cure… I can find a parallel in a circle if I look hard enough.
