Obviously taste is pretty fundamental to a successful recipe. But appearance is also crucial in my opinion. Having perfected my festive spiced carrot cakes, therefore, it seemed a pretty logical next step to dress them up as Christmas puddings. For the 3 minutes they were on the table, they painted a very pretty picture. They also looked quite good on Instagram. And I wasn’t short of volunteers to check whether they tasted as good as they looked. They did. 

Counting this as a healthy recipe. It’s got carrots in it. Plus they made me smile, and you can’t put a price on that. So that’s  #freebieoftheday covered too there.
