Here we are. January. Month of overcrowded gyms, generous charity shop donations (sorry Gran), and emergency purchases of limited-stock sale items that nobody needs. Justified on the basis that a reduction is pretty much a saving, and a few comfort buys are entirely necessary to get you through Austerity Month.
I will be mainly chasing my freebies of the day with slightly more desperation (today’s being free museum entry – luckily enough as entering museums isn’t something I often willingly pay for, but finding an activity to entertain visitors to a windswept coastal town in January can be tricky). And finding random Christmas baubles in unlikely places. (Cats. No further explanation needed). Also being generally quite relieved that I am now halfway through chemo, so heading towards the equivalent of a #fridayreach. But on quite a grand scale.
All good. So I might just celebrate with a quick browse of a few websites. Just to check for any massive savings on items I don’t need, or any essential gadgets that I didn’t know I needed. Worst case scenario, at least I’ll have something to help out those charity shops in the post-January donation slump.
